CTS Scheme

Introduced by the Government of India in 1950, the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) is a flagship program designed to provide a steady flow of skilled workers for Indian industries. It’s a structured and systematic training program that bridges the gap between traditional education and the practical skills required by the modern workforce.

The scheme is implemented through a vast network of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the country. These institutes, both government and private, offer a wide range of vocational courses, also known as trades, that are aligned with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).
